I am Liza Cornet ('s-Hertogenbosch, 1987). PhD scientist with a passion for science communication. In 2018 I founded 'Studio Wetenschap' and since 2021 I have focused full-time on science communication.

I studied at Maastricht University and obtained my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Master's degree in Neuropsychology (cum laude). In 2016 I received my PhD from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam with the thesis 'Brains Behind Bars', nominated for the Willem Nagel Prize. I then worked for a number of years as a researcher at the Ministry of Justice & Security, University of Twente and Leiden University.
